Everest Charlotte FC is for everyone — players, parents, coaches, supporters, volunteers, opponents, officials, and online community members alike. This code sets out what we expect of each other so the club stays a place people are proud to be part of.
Our commitments
- Respect. Treat everyone with respect — teammates, opponents, match officials, supporters, staff, and online community members.
- Inclusion. We welcome people of every background, ability, gender, identity, age, and faith. Discrimination, harassment, and slurs have no place at the club.
- Fair play. Compete hard, compete clean. Accept the decisions of match officials with grace.
- Safety. Look out for each other. Report anything that puts a person’s safety or wellbeing at risk.
- Integrity. Be honest. Don’t cheat, don’t misrepresent yourself, and don’t take part in match-fixing or betting on club fixtures.
On the pitch
- Show up prepared, on time, and ready to give your best for your teammates.
- Respect referees, opposition players, and opposition supporters at every level of the game.
- Celebrate well, lose well. Handshakes after every match.
- Coaches and team staff are responsible for setting the tone — model the behaviour you want to see from players.
In the stands & on matchday
- Get behind the team. Banter is welcome; abuse is not.
- No discriminatory chants, no threats, no throwing objects onto the pitch.
- Children are part of every match — keep language and behaviour family-friendly.
- Follow steward and venue staff instructions at all times.
Online & in fan spaces
- The same standards apply in comments, chat, and on social media as apply in person.
- Disagree with ideas, never attack people. No personal insults, doxxing, harassment, or pile-ons.
- No spam, scams, or unsolicited promotion of unrelated products or services.
- Respect privacy. Don’t share private messages, photos, or personal information without consent.
Safeguarding
Anyone who works with under-18 players in club programs must follow the club’s safeguarding policies in full. If you have a safeguarding concern, contact the club’s designated safeguarding lead at hello@ecfc.com immediately. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
Reporting a concern
If you see or experience behaviour that doesn’t live up to this code:
- On matchday: speak to a steward, the team manager, or a club official.
- Online: report the comment in-app or email hello@ecfc.com.
- Anything else: hello@ecfc.com. Reports are handled confidentially and reviewed by the club’s leadership.
Consequences
Depending on the severity, breaches of this code may result in a quiet word, a formal warning, removal of comments or accounts, suspension from matches or programs, or a permanent ban. Serious incidents may also be reported to the relevant league authorities or to law enforcement.
Thank you for helping make Everest Charlotte FC a place worth showing up for.
